I would like this record as I have a digital copy but I paid big $ for this record months ago and it still hasn’t arrived! Any ideas there? Alan Ramskill
Like volume 1,slow and elegiac guitar improvisations with a slightly more shimmering abstract feel than the previous recording and more disquieting too,for me...I really like the way Connors lets his pieces 'breathe': giving them space and air to develop. He trusts the process of playing rather than the result,I think,so texture is more important than polish. I am drawn to that particular creative equation.
His work is 'slow burn' and needs equal time and attention to really appreciate the depth of field he creates.

So happy to see a new album from this band. I've long been a fan of Mazurek and Parker's work in Tortoise, on top of the CUQ... Anyhow, if you're curious about contemporary jazz, this is a terrific place to start.
